This great gem octagonal .50 size california gold token features an indian head on the obverse surrounded by 13 stars with the date below. The reverse shows a wreath with "cal. gold" and "1/2 inside. This token is one of the popular "hybrid" examples as it shares an obverse with a california gold coin (BG-1038).
