1968-72 Proof Sets
Proof Sets issued between the years 1968-1972 are five coin proof sets as no dollars were minted during these years. The proof coins for these years were housed in a more solid plastic case within a rigid blue cardboard holder. This design was not used for only these years. It was brought back for the 1983 Proof Set.
