The Mint released six Quarters in 2009, depicting the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories. There were four Pennies minted that year to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. The 2009 proof set contains these six Quarters and four Pennies, along with a Dime, Nickel, Half Dollar, Sacagawea Dollar and four Presidential Dollars making the total number of coins for this set 18!
Another new Quarter program started in early 2010 with the addition of the America the Beautiful Quarters program which will run until 2021, with 5 new quarters coming out per year to commemorate Americas 56 National Parks. Included in the 2010 Proof Sets are the new Lincoln Shield Cent, Dime, Nickel, five Quarters, Half Dollar, Sacagawea Dollar, and four Presidential Dollars.
