To help mark the 20th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program, the U.S. Mint sold these terrific One Ounce Gold Eagle sets. Included is the first ever reverse proof version of the American Eagle Gold Coins. The reverse proof Gold Eagle was struck with specially prepared dies with mirrored devices and frosted fields - the reverse of a standard proof coin. Also included are one ounce versions of the American Eagle Gold Proof Coin and the Uncirculated Gold Eagle. All of these 2006-dated coins carry the “W” mint mark, indicating they were struck at the West Point mint. The coins are presented in an elegant hardwood box that has been adorned with gold foil. The box is lacquered, rubbed and buffed to a beautiful gloss finish. Each set includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
