Complete Peace Dollar Set - All UNC Except One!
|
This Peace Dollar set was sold a couple of years ago by a major coin dealer as uncirculated. At first glance every coin looks uncirculated, but on close inspection the 1934-S (the rarest Peace Dollar in UNC.) has a touch of noticeable wear. Though many would be tempted to sell the set again as a complete UNC set (at $1,000+ more) we are going to offer it as we see it - an UNC set with a "slider" 1934-S.
Peace dollars were the last of the circulating silver dollars. The dates included in this high grade set include: 1921-P, 1922-P, D, S, 1923-P, D, S 1924-P and S, 1925-P and S, 1926-P, D, S, 1927-P, D, S, 1928-P and S, 1934-P, D, S, 1935-P and S. The P mint (Philadelphia) bear no mint mark while the D (Denver) and S (San Francisco) issues carry their respective initials below "ONE" on the reverse. Key dates in the Peace dollar series include the 1921, 1928 and 1934-S with the 1928 having just 360,649 struck.
