1999-S Type I Reverse Lincoln Cent - Certified Proof-63 Deep Cameo Or Better - Struck With Business Strike Reverse Die

1999-S Close AM Proof Lincoln Cent

Rare 1999-S Close AM Proof Lincoln Cent

Each of these rare varieties comes certified Proof-63 or finer condition. The example pictured is ANACS certified. These coins may also come certified by NGC or PCGS. Grades and grading service will by our choice based on availability. These coins are proofs struck (mistakenly?) with dies used for circulation strikes. On the circulation (business) strikes an unknown but limited amount of proofs, the AM of AMERICA is close together and virtually touching (which creates a wider space between the M and E of AMERICA). This die also features the designer's initials "FG" which are spaced well away from the building. In addition, the three rectangular posts on the three lowest steps (at either end) much larger than on the standard type II proof style reverse.
