At MintProducts things are different; we publish our buy prices for anyone to see! We want to buy your 10k, 14k, 16k, 18 karat gold and any other gold - you name it! Q. What type of gold will you buy?
A. We will buy rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, watches and even gold teeth or anything else gold!

Q. How can I tell if my gold is real and not just gold plated
A. Most gold plated jewelry will be marked in karats followed by HGE (heavy gold electroplate) Ex. 10kHGE or will be marked "Gold Filled". Some will be marked more plainly as just Gold Plated. A small amount of gold plated jewelry is not marked as such but can be tested by us electronically to figure its true gold content. Gold plated jewelry generally is of little value. Items marked 14KP (for example) are 14K gold and can be sold to us at our buy price. The "P" stands for "plumb gold"

Q. What does DWT mean?
A. DWT is the abbreviation for Pennyweight. A Pennyweight is the unit of measure that most scrap gold is bought and sold in. There are exactly 20 pennyweights per ounce.

Q. What does 10K or 14K mean?
A. Using pure gold in jewelry is not practical as it would wear down very quickly, so other metals are added to the gold to give it strength. Pure gold is 24K (24 karat) and 10K for example is 10/24 or about 43.7% pure.

Q. How do I sell you my gold?
A. First check to make sure your gold is properly marked. It should be marked 10K, 14K, 18K etc. If it is marked with the letters HGE (14k HGE) or "gold filled" it is gold plated and is of little value. If it is possible, weigh your gold (any semi-precious stones etc. will be deducted from the weight), Securely package your items and include your name, address and telephone number.

Q. What happens after you receive my package?
A. When we receive your package, we will call you (usually the same day) with our offer. Our offer will be based on our published price at the time we receive your package. If you accept our offer, a check will be sent within one business day. If you choose to keep your gold, it will be promptly returned to you at our cost.
