These popular gold coins were issued between 1892 and 1916. Each features Emperor Franz Joseph I on the obverse while the reverse shows The arms of Austria with a crowned double-headed eagle with the legend. After the death of Franz Joseph in 1916, these official restrikes were struck as commemoratives, all bearing the date 1915.
