First issued by the British Royal Mint in 1997 as a proof only strike these beautiful silver coins have been issued by Great Britain every year since. These larger than crown size Britannias have a 40mm diameter and have an actual weight of 32.4 grams - the heaviest of the world's one ounce silver coins. Each is struck in 95.8% silver, carries a face value of 2 pounds and comes sealed in mint plastic.
