To commemorate the landing of the pilgrims at Plymouth rock, Congress authorized these special half dollars on May 12th 1920. The obverse shows a portrait of Governor Bradford while the reverse features the Mayflower. The mintage of this commemorative was just 152,112 pieces, far less than today's issues.
