"Mercury" Dimes were minted from 1916 to 1945. Though these coins have long carried the name "Mercury", the design is not that of the mythical god, but that of a winged headed Liberty.
Each of these Mercury Dimes will have a minimal amount of contact or "bag" marks and will have a strike that is equal to or sharper than typically seen for this date.
All 1936 Mercury Dimes were struck in 90% silver and have an original mintage of 87,500,000 coins.
