ROLL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Released on 4/1/2019.
  • Every roll contains 40 coins in Brilliant UNC condition. Each roll comes in a plastic tube.
  • The obverse shows a slightly modified version of the original Washington Quarter. • The reverse features a young woman inside the park in front of the Flag Circle and Court of Honor. Other details of the reverse include the inscriptions "AMERICAN MEMORIAL PARK," “N. MARIANA ISLANDS,” “2019” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
  • The 5 National Parks scheduled for release in 2019 are Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts, American Memorial Park in the Northern Mariana Islands, the War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park in Texas and Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho.
  • Sovereign coins minted at the U.S. Mint and backed by the United States government, each with a face value of $0.25 for a total face value of $10.00 a roll.

On the Island of Saipan, part of the Northern Mariana Islands, lies American Memorial Park spanning over 133 acres. It honors the thousands of military personnel and island residents that lost their lives during the Marianas Campaign in 1944 during the Asian-Pacific War. Throughout the park visitors will find beaches, sports arenas, walking paths, historical markers, and of course memorials. The Memorial Court of Honor and Flag Circle, the Marianas Memorial, and the Saipan American Memorial and Carillon Bell Tower commemorate those who sacrificed their lives and help start the end of the war. The park was dedicated in June of 1994, which marked 50 years since of the Invasion of Saipan in 1944, and is managed by the National Park Service.
