2019-W American Silver Eagles - Burnished or Matte Finish - NGC Certified MS-69
Beginning in 2006 to mark the 20th Anniversary of the production of the first American Silver Eagles, the United States Mint began producing coins with a special burnished, or matte-like, finish. This finish appears slightly less shiny than that of a typical Silver Eagle, thanks to a process in which the blanks are polished prior to the striking process. The mint refers to these types of coins only as Uncirculated. These particular coins have been graded and encapsulated as MS-69 by NGC, one of the premier numismatic grading companies.
