Every U.S. coin collector can benefit from having the latest addition of The Official Red Book. We offer the 2018 edition in the
hard cover and
soft cover options. Another great coin book, especially for those looking to learn more about what goes into grading coins, is Coin World's
Making the Grade: Comprehensive Grading Guide to U.S. Coins. These are just two examples of some great coin books that can be gifted to a coin collector. See our page titled
Coin Books for more.

Proof Sets and Mint Sets
Many collectors purchase Proof Sets and Mint Sets to get the present years circulating coins. Mint Sets house the uncirculated version of the coins while Proof Sets house special proof versions (in clad or silver). Proof coins are minted just for collectors and are highly collectible. If you don't know what years are missing from their collection, try purchasing a year that is special to the coin collector. Some ideas for significant years could be the year they were born, the year you met them, the year they graduated high school or college, the year they got married, the years their children were born, etc.
Do they keep their coins in airtites? 2x2 staple type holders? Vinyl flips? Coin tubes? Vinyl coin pages?
We carry them all! If you are not sure if they use airtites, staple holders, or tubes, then you may want to go the easier route and purchase a storage box. Many coin collectors are known to keep their coins in old shoe boxes for the sake of convenience. Why not purchase them a nicer quality storage box like our Storage Box for Tubes or Staple Type Holders. Do they collect certified coins? We offer storage boxes for those too. We also offer some mahogany display cases to house individual coins. Unlike many other coin companies, we are a full service company and offer a full line of supplies. Find all of these items and more in our
Coin Supplies section.
American Silver Eagles have become one of the most widely collected coins since the U.S. Mint began production of them in 1986. Offered in many finishes (uncirculated, proof, burnished/matte) and both certified and uncertified Silver Eagles are a great addition to any collection. Many collectors like to keep multiple American Silver Eagles in their collection, so don't worry if you're not sure what year to purchase. You could also try purchasing a year that is significant to you and the person you are purchasing for. Some ideas: the year you first met or they were born, the year they graduated high school or college, the year they retired, the year something significant happened in their life, etc. We have a vast selection of Silver Eagles that can be found on our
1986-2017 Silver Eagles page.
Collectible Paper Money is another great gift option for the collector and non-collector. For the collector we carry some interesting pieces of currency dating as far back as the 1700's used in colonial times and pieces as recent as $2.00 notes from 2003. Our 1st Day of Issue Postmarked Bicentennial $2 notes may be of interest to Stamp collectors and those interested in
U.S. history. We also carry Civil War/Confederate notes, Silver and Gold Certificates, and more. Visit our Paper Money page to see all that is available.
