2013-S Mount Rushmore National Memorial, South Dakota. Quarter Singles - Uncirculated Condition
Though the San Francisco Mint Mount Rushmore Quarters were struck as Business Strikes, none of these quarters were issued for circulation, insuring their desirability for years to come.
The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota and displays carvings in the granite face of the mountain of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. Each face is 60 feet high and was carved by Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln Borglum.
The reverse design of the Mt. Rushmore Quarter is unique and unlike any other coin featuring Mount Rushmore. It depicts one of the sculptors finishing the face of Thomas Jefferson as another sculptor is shown on a construction walkway. George Washington's profile is shown on the left of the coin. The reverse of the quarter also includes the inscription “Mount Rushmore,” "South Dakota," “2013,” and “E Pluribus Unum.”
Our Mount Rushmore S Mint Quarter singles are taken from original U.S. Mint bags and shipped in 2X2 flips.
