Designed by Anthony de Francisci's and struck in 90% silver, Peace Dollars were originally minted to commemorate the Peace Treaty between the United States and Germany after World War I. Minted between 1921 and 1935, three mints were used: Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco. The mint mark (for non "P" issues) is located near the bottom of the eagles tail on the reverse.
