Shenandoah National park is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and is only 75 miles from Washington D.C. Established in December 1935, the park expands over 105 miles. It offers many hiking trails, spectacular waterfall views, family picnic and camping areas, as well as Skyline Drive, a National Scenic Byway. Shenandoah Park is home to many species of animals including the white-tailed deer, black bear, red and gray fox, and 200 species of local and migratory birds.
The reverse design of the Shenandoah Quarter depicts a hiker overlooking Little Stony Man peak. With beautiful views, Little Stony Man is one of the park's most popular peaks. Also included are the inscriptions “Shenandoah,” “Virginia,” and “E Pluribus Unum,” as well "2014."
Our Shenandoah S Mint Quarter rolls are shipped in plastic quarter tubes and are taken from original U.S. Mint bags.
