2016 Silver Eagle Mint Error - NGC MS-69 Reverse Struck Thru
2016 Silver Eagle Mint Error - NGC MS-69 Reverse Struck Thru

2016 Silver Eagle Reverse Struck Thru - NGC Certified Mint Error MS-69 - 30th Anniversary

Many coin collectors and numismatists alike are familiar with the American Silver Eagle, whom celebrated its 30th Anniversary in 2016. The classic Lady Liberty design struck on a 1 oz Silver planchet produced by the U.S. Mint is collected world wide.

Silver Eagle Mint Error's are less commonly known but do exist. Mainly in the from of Strike Thru Errors. This type of Error is when an object comes between the die and the blank resulting in the object's outline being pressed into the coin design. Objects can vary from threads to metal shavings and even grease.

Located on the Reverse, the Error is seen to the left of the "1" in the "1 oz. fine silver - one dollar" inscription. This Mint Error is in otherwise near perfect condition and graded MS-69 by NGC. Holdered in a plastic slab, this coin and the error, are protected for years to come!
