Roosevelt National Park, founded in November 1978, spans over 100 miles. It is known for the Maltese Cross Cabin (Roosevelt's first ranch home) and the Long X Trail, which was used to move cattle into the Northern Great Plains. It is located in western North Dakots and founded in part to memorialize Roosevelt's role in conservation ethics.
