  • The obverse shows a slightly modified version of the original Washington Quarter. The mint moved some of the wording previously found on the reverse to the obverse in order to make more room for the reverse design for each state. You'll find "United States of America," "In God We Trust," "Liberty," and "Quarter Dollar" all spelled out on the obverse of the quarter as well as the coin's mint mark.
  • The reverse design depicts a close up view of Delicate Arch. This particular arch is well known as the most famous arch in the world and also represents Utah on postage stamps and license plates.
  • The 5 National Parks Released in 2014 were Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee, Shenandoah National Park in Virginia, Arches National Park in Utah, Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, and Everglades National Park in Florida.

Arches National Park, located outside of Moab in Eastern Utah, began as a National Monument in April of 1929 and was signed into recognition by President Herbert Hoover. It wasn’t established as a National Park until November of 1971. With over 76,000 acres to explore and over 2,000 arches to view, the park is home to many hikers and campers through the seasons. The parks more notable features include Delicate Arch, Balanced Rock, Devil’s Garden, Fiery Furnace, Petrified Dunes, and many more fins, balanced rocks and pinnacles.
