PRODUCT DETAILS:
$2.50 Indian Quarter Eagle Gold Coins - 1908-1929 - PCGS or NGC Certified MS-62 - Random Dates
COIN HIGHLIGHTS:
- Each coin has been authenticated and certified as being MS-62 by either PCGS or NGC, the two most respected grading services in the industry.
- First coins that featured an "incuse" or recessed design.
- The obverse features a portrait of a Native American wearing a feathered headdress. Around him are 13 stars, 1 representing each of the 13 original colonies. The coin's date is also found on the front of the coin, as well as the word "LIBERTY."
- The reverse features the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST" around a majestic bald eagle design, along with the coin's denomination.
The 2 1/2 dollar (and five dollar) Gold Indian coins represent a departure from all preceding designs. These gold pieces have no raised rim, and all the devices and legends are struck incuse, leaving an impression within the coin's design, rather than in higher relief as normal.
Dates as well as the grading service on these random year coins will be of our choosing, and is determined by our current inventory on hand.
